The Emerald Heights World School commemorated Gandhi Jayanti and the birth anniversary of Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji with a heartfelt celebration of values that continue to inspire generations – truth, peace, simplicity, courage and compassion.
Young learners from Nursery to Class V brought these ideals to life through thoughtful speeches, soulful group songs and an inspiring dance performance.
The celebration also reflected on Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji’s leadership, simplicity and dedication to the nation. His powerful call of “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” honoured the invaluable contributions of India’s soldiers and farmers and became an enduring symbol of national strength and self-reliance.
Through their performances, the children reflected on the timeless messages of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji, reminding us that their values are not merely lessons from history, but principles to practise in our everyday lives.
